Salary range:
  • $72,000 + super(studying Certificate III/IV)
  • $90,000 + super(Certificate III)
  • $95,000 + super(Certificate IV)
  • $102,000 + super(AHPRA‑registered Aboriginal Health Practitioner) Pro‑rata for part‑time hours.

About the Role -  Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners are essential members of the primary healthcare team, providing culturally safe, respectful, and clinically sound care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients in correctional environments.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will:
  • Conduct primary health assessments, planning, treatment, and evaluation
  • Advocate for cultural and health needs
  • Collaborate with nurses, GPs, mental health clinicians, and allied health
  • Support culturally safe pathways and patient engagement
You will receive cultural supervision and operational support, with opportunities to grow your skills across diverse clinical settings.

What We’re Looking For
  • Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • Studying or holding Certificate III or IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, or
  • AHPRA‑registered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner
  • Ability to deliver culturally safe care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to work across multiple locations
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance and pass a National Criminal History Check
