It also outlines our obligations under the updated Privacy Act, including:

  • strengthened security and retention obligations
  • new rules for automated decision‑making
  • updated overseas disclosure requirements
  • new rights and protections for individuals

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our recruitment, on hire, and workforce management activities. We do not collect information simply because it may be useful in the future.


2.1 For Jobseekers

We may collect:

  • Work history, skills, qualifications, and experience
  • Reference information and performance feedback
  • Skills, aptitude, or medical assessment results
  • Work preferences, availability, and expectations
  • Sensitive information (e.g., health or criminal history) where relevant and lawful

 

2.2 For Clients

  • Service preferences and workforce requirements
  • WHS documentation (e.g., certificates of currency)


2.3 For Referees

  • Employment verification information
  • Opinions about a jobseeker’s performance, conduct, and suitability

We do not collect unnecessary identifiers or biometric data unless required by law.

5. Automated Decision Making and AI

In line with the 2024 Privacy Act reforms, we disclose that Talent Quarter may use automated tools to support recruitment processes, including:

  • Candidate scoring or ranking systems
  • Automated communications
  • Credential verification integrations

 

These tools do not make final hiring decisions. Human review is always applied before any decision that significantly affects an individual.

 

We will update this section as new regulatory requirements commence (mandatory by December 2026).

6. Cookies, Analytics and Tracking
