Talent Quarter are proudly partnered with a leading provider of primary health and correctional services in Victoria who are seeking an experienced AOD Program Facilitator to join their team in Beechworth, Regional Victoria on a fixed term basis.  This role provides a unique opportunity to support individuals in custody through evidence-based alcohol and other drug interventions, harm minimisation education and relapse prevention programs.

About the Role:
Working alongside psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals, you will help participants develop practical skills and strategies that support long-term recovery and improved wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate structured AOD group programs and interventions
  • Conduct AOD screening and assessment activities
  • Deliver harm minimisation and relapse prevention education
  • Support participants using person-centred and recovery-focused approaches
  • Develop treatment plans, case notes and client reports
  • Maintain accurate records and data management systems
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders
  • Contribute to positive health outcomes within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Nursing or a related health discipline OR 
  • Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
  • Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)
  • Equivalent qualifications and/or significant industry experience
Essential Experience
  • Experience in AOD assessment and intervention
  • Knowledge of harm minimisation principles and recovery-oriented practice
  • Experience facilitating group programs and educational workshops
  • Strong written communication and case documentation skills
  • Experience working to service delivery targets and KPIs
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience delivering AOD services in correctional settings (Desireable)
  • Understanding of the Victorian Criminal Justice System, including prisons, parole and community corrections (Desireable)
To be considered, you must:

  • Hold a current Australian Driver Licence
  • Successfully complete a National Criminal History Check
  • Be eligible to obtain and maintain required security clearances
  • Be comfortable working within a correctional healthcare environment
  • Be available to work outside standard business hours when required
