Lead Clinical Excellence in a Stunning Regional Setting An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join a dynamic Medical and Urgent Care team within a well-established regional health service.

This role is ideal for a skilled Registered Nurse with strong clinical leadership experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while supporting and developing a dedicated nursing team.

About the Role Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical leadership and operational support across the Medical and Urgent Care Unit. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, support, and guidance to nursing staff.

  • Acting as a clinical resource and role model within the unit.

  • Supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.

  • Assisting with workforce management, rostering, and resource allocation.

  • Driving quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence.

  • Collaborating effectively with medical practitioners and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Supporting urgent care presentations and acute patient management.

  • Assisting with unit coordination and operational responsibilities as required.

About You Essential Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

  • Previous experience in an ANUM, Clinical Nurse, Team Leader, or equivalent senior nursing role.

  • Strong clinical experience within acute, medical, or urgent care settings.

  • Demonstrated leadership and staff mentoring capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Sound understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety principles.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Commitment to delivering person-centred care and positive patient outcomes.

Desirable
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Nursing, Acute Care, Critical Care, Leadership, or a related discipline.

  • Experience working within a rural or regional healthcare setting.

  • Advanced Life Support certification.

  • Experience in workforce coordination and patient flow management.
