Are you an experienced perioperative nurse ready to step into a leadership role with a focus on Urology? Join a dynamic, fast-paced surgical environment where your expertise and commitment to excellence will be highly valued.
We are currently seeking Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs) to support our growing Perioperative Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a modern, redeveloped facility featuring cutting-edge technology, newly expanded clinical services, and a strong focus on professional development and patient care. Our facility has recently undergone a major redevelopment to meet the growing healthcare needs of Melbourne’s Northern suburbs. Highlights include:
  • 4 brand-new operating theatres
  • A new 4-bed high dependency unit
  • Expanded Orthopaedic services
  • Premium consulting suites, on-site pharmacy, and day surgery admission area
  • Integrated with an academic health precinct, supporting nursing education and clinical research
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and clinical guidance across perioperative services, with a focus on Urology
  • Support a culture of learning, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate evidence-based nursing care and ensure optimal resource management
  • Foster strong professional relationships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Assist with clinical audits and lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in direct patient care as required
What You’ll Bring
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Recent experience as Shift Coordinator, ANUM, or Clinical Nurse Specialist (desirable)
  • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative nursing (or working towards)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and alignment with ACQSHC National Standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and model positive behaviours
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and customer service skills
  • Confidence managing a fast-paced and evolving clinical environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office and clinical data systems
  • Current Working With Children Check
