Behaviour Manager

Behaviour Support & Allied Health | Senior Clinical LEADERSHIP Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Behaviour Manager to join a well-established disability and allied health organisation. This is a senior clinical position suited to an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who is looking to combine hands-on clinical practice with leadership, mentoring and service development.
Working autonomously within a supportive professional environment, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, person-centred behaviour support while providing clinical guidance and mentoring to less experienced practitioners.

About the opportunityThis role will suit a confident and experienced practitioner who is passionate about positive behaviour support, human-rights-based approaches and achieving meaningful outcomes for people with disability.
You will be responsible for:
  • Providing high-quality behaviour support services to clients with a range of needs and levels of complexity.
  • Reviewing and endorsing Behaviour Support Plans developed by team members, providing clinical feedback and guidance.
  • Providing regular clinical supervision, coaching and mentoring to Behaviour Support Practitioners.
  • Supporting less experienced practitioners to develop their clinical skills, confidence and professional practice.
  • Managing your own small caseload while maintaining a focus on clinical leadership.
  • Participating in and leading professional and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Supporting reflective practice, evidence-based approaches and continuous improvement.
  • Working collaboratively with clients, families, stakeholders and other professionals to achieve person-centred outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of clinical tools, processes and service offerings.
  • Building relationships with community services and professional networks.
  • Supporting community education, training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Ensuring high-quality documentation, reporting and compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
About youYou will be an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner with strong clinical capability and the confidence to provide guidance to others.
To be successful, you will have:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in behaviour support and disability services.
  • Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability at Proficient level or above.
  • Strong knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks and person-centred practice.
  • Experience developing, reviewing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
  • The ability to manage complex clinical situations and exercise sound professional judgement.
  • Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision, coaching or mentoring.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commitment to human rights, dignity, choice and inclusion.
  • Strong written documentation and report-writing skills, including familiarity with NDIS reporting requirements.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
