Senior Mental Health Clinician – Youth
12 month fixed term contract
Available accomodation 

We are currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician to join a community-based youth mental health service.

This role involves working with young people and their families who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, case management, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete mental health assessments for young people.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic support and interventions.
  • Manage a caseload of clients and coordinate care plans.
  • Work closely with families, schools, health professionals and community services.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions and service development activities.
  • Deliver education and mental health promotion activities within the community.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Social Work.
  • Relevant professional registration or membership.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents or young adults experiencing mental health concerns.
  • Strong assessment, case management and therapeutic skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Current driver's licence.
Desirable
  • Experience working in community mental health services.
  • Understanding of early intervention and youth mental health.
  • Experience working within regional or rural settings.
