Talent Quarter is proud to partner with a leading Tasmanian health service to recruit a Clinical Coordinator – Paediatrics for a fixed-term, part-time opportunity in Northern Tasmania.

This role is ideal for an experienced paediatric nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys coordinating high-quality, family-centred care.

About the Role Working closely with the inter-professional team, you will coordinate the day-to-day patient care activities of the paediatric ward/unit. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth admissions, transfers, and discharges while supporting safe, efficient, and compassionate care delivery.

This position offers the opportunity to build leadership capability while remaining clinically engaged in paediatric nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily clinical operations of the paediatric ward/unit

  • Support and implement effective admission, transfer, and discharge processes

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care

  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff

  • Promote safe, child-centred, and family-focused care

  • Contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives

  • Salary: $109,767 – $115,813 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation

  • Postgraduate allowance of up to 10% (based on qualification)

Contract Details
  • Fixed-term, part-time, shift worker

  • Hours negotiable with the successful applicant

  • This recruitment process may be used to fill similar roles over the next 12 months

Essential Requirements
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

  • Current Working with Children Check (where applicable)

Desirable:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification
