Talent Quarter is partnering with a leading Tasmanian health service to recruit an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant – SAFE. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated nursing leader to support clients affected by sexual assault and/or family violence, driving high-quality clinical response and prevention initiatives across the region.

The Role As the CNC – SAFE, you will provide specialist clinical leadership across sexual assault and family violence identification, assessment, safety planning, and examination. You will support multidisciplinary staff, strengthen organisational capability, and ensure best-practice, compassionate care for vulnerable clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical consultation and coordinate complex SAFE cases

  • Deliver education and training on trauma-informed care for North West staff

  • Develop, implement and maintain evidence-based policies and procedures

  • Collaborate with police, child protection, community partners and statewide SAFE services

  • Lead quality improvement, audit and data collection activities

  • Mentor nursing, midwifery and medical staff

  • Participate in an on-call roster as required

About You Essential:

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse

  • Experience in sexual assault, family violence, mental health or emergency care

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safety planning principles

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications relevant to SAFE, forensic nursing or family violence

  • Working toward postgraduate studies in forensic/SAFE practice

Salary & Benefits
  • $114,851 – $121,886 + 12% super (pro rata)

  • Post-Graduate Allowance up to 10% (role dependent)

  • Salary packaging: Living expenses, meals & entertainment

  • Travel & relocation assistance:

    • Up to $15,000 for overseas applicants

    • Up to $10,000 for interstate applicants

  • Strong PD support, study leave & accelerated career pathways

  • Part-time hours up to 45.6 hrs/fortnight (negotiable)
