Your Role
As a Correctional Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering healthcare services within correctional facilities. Responsibilities may include:
• Conducting health assessments and triage for patients
• Delivering primary healthcare and clinical care within a secure environment
• Administering medications and managing chronic health conditions
• Responding to medical emergencies and urgent care needs
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and custodial staff
• Providing health education and supporting patient wellbeing
What We’re Looking For
• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 2+ years’ primary healthcare experience
• Previous correctional or custodial health experience (highly regarded)
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Up-to-date immunisations
• Australian working rights
