What You’ll Lead & Deliver
  • Drive excellence in dementia care across the organisation
  • Lead behavioural support practice, ensuring residents’ needs are well understood and appropriately supported
  • Develop and oversee individualised dementia care plans, with a strong focus on behaviour and strengths-based approaches
  • Mentor and empower carers & nurses, building capability and confidence in dementia-support best practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external specialists to deliver holistic, quality care
  • Support and guide families, offering education, emotional support, and facilitating support groups
  • Champion innovation, contributing to research, quality improvement initiatives, and policy development

About You
  • Qualified Behaviour Support Practitioner or Registered Nurse
  • 2+ years’ experience supporting people living with dementia or cognitive disorders
  • Strong capability in behavioural strategies and dementia-care principles
  • Committed to continuous improvement, education, and evidence-based approaches
  • Skilled communicator with natural leadership strengths
  • Experienced in mentoring and training staff
  • Confident in using electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Ability to obtain a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
