Talent Quarter is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations at a respected aged care facility in regional Victoria.
This pivotal role offers the opportunity to provide strong clinical leadership, drive quality care outcomes, and foster a culture of excellence, compassion, and accountability. You will oversee the delivery of high-standard, person-centred care while ensuring compliance with aged care legislation, clinical governance, and accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership across all aspects of care delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing and administrative teams to deliver best-practice care.
- Oversee clinical governance, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage staff recruitment, rosters, education programs, and performance reviews.
- Drive compliance with Aged Care Standards and continuous improvement across the facility.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation, assessment, and AN-ACC optimisation to support individualised care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve holistic, person-centred outcomes.
- Current AHPRA registration (Division 1 Registered Nurse).
- Proven leadership experience as a NUM, ANUM, or DON within aged care.
- Strong understanding of Aged Care Standards, accreditation processes, and AN-ACC funding.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in rostering, incident management, and clinical documentation systems.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Gerontology or related discipline (highly regarded).
