Talent Quarter are exclusively partnered with a South-West Sydney based organisation who have exciting opportunity for an experienced Governance, Risk, Quality or Compliance leader to join a respected, purpose-driven organisation delivering services across the Aged Care and Disability sectors.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the organisation's Governance, Risk, Assurance, Compliance and Evaluation function, with responsibility for strengthening governance, enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, internal audit and continuous improvement.

This is a highly influential executive position working closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board/Audit & Risk Committee, with the opportunity to shape organisation-wide strategy, risk culture and quality outcomes.

The Role You will provide executive leadership across the organisation's governance and risk portfolio, ensuring regulatory obligations are met while building a proactive culture of quality, safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and mature the enterprise governance, risk and compliance framework
  • Provide strategic advice and reporting to the CEO, Executive Team and Board
  • Oversee enterprise risk across clinical, operational, financial, workforce, cyber and reputational areas
  • Lead internal audit, assurance and remediation programs
  • Maintain compliance with Aged Care and NDIS legislation, standards and regulatory requirements
  • Lead preparation for accreditation, re-registration and regulatory audits
  • Oversee serious incidents, complaints, investigations and safeguarding matters
  • Maintain effective policy, procedure and quality management systems
  • Monitor regulatory reform and embed legislative changes across policy, training and operations
  • Drive continuous improvement through audit outcomes, incidents, feedback and performance data
  • Lead and develop a high-performing governance, risk and assurance team
The role has responsibility across both Aged Care and NDIS regulatory environments, including internal audit, serious incident response, complaints and restrictive practices oversight. 

About You

We are looking for a commercially aware, pragmatic senior leader who can translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions.

You will ideally bring:

  • Senior leadership experience across Governance, Risk, Compliance, Quality or Assurance
  • Experience within Aged Care, NDIS/Disability, Healthcare or Human Services
  • Strong understanding of the Aged Care and/or NDIS regulatory environment
  • Experience developing enterprise risk, governance or internal audit frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience working with CEOs, Executives, Boards and Committees
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality systems and continuous improvement
  • Experience managing complex incidents, investigations and/or regulator relationships
  • Demonstrated people leadership and team development capability
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, risk, audit, health or social care
Formal governance, risk or audit credentials such as GAICD, CA/CPA, CIA or equivalent GRC certification will be highly regarded.

This is more than a traditional compliance role. You will have the mandate to influence how governance, risk and quality are embedded across the organisation while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
