Lifestyle & Activities Coordinator

Are you passionate about improving the wellbeing, independence and quality of life of vulnerable individuals?

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Lifestyle & Activities Coordinator to join a well-established residential care service supporting people with complex needs. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by developing and facilitating engaging programs that promote physical, emotional, social and psychological wellbeing.

This position is offered as a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the Role

Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including allied health professionals and nursing staff, you will coordinate and deliver a variety of therapeutic and lifestyle activities that encourage participation, independence and community connection.

This role would suit someone with experience in aged care, mental health, disability, community services or allied health assistance who enjoys building relationships and creating positive outcomes for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate individual and group lifestyle activities and programs
  • Support residents to maintain independence, wellbeing and social engagement
  • Work collaboratively with allied health professionals to implement therapy programs
  • Encourage participation in recreational, cultural and community-based activities
  • Monitor resident engagement and maintain accurate documentation
  • Assist with activity planning, resources and program evaluation
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families and internal stakeholders
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Qualification in Allied Health Assistance, Community Services, Mental Health or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in a lifestyle, activities, therapy assistant, mental health or community services role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience working with people experiencing complex social or health-related challenges will be highly regarded
Essential Requirements
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
