THE ROLE


Salary: $80 - $160 per hour + Super + 'Living Away From Home Allowance' assistance
Location: Regional Victoria or Regional NSW
Accommodation and Travel: Included
Hours: Monday - Friday, Full Time
Contract Length: 12 weeks initially with scope for extension

We are seeking experienced Child and Youth Mental Health Clinicians with strong clinical skills, and a background working with children, families and adolescents.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Social Workers, Nurses and Psychologists, you will provide a range of services that could include community case management or intake to young children, adolescents and their families presenting with mild to very severe mental health conditions, including Schizophrenia. You must have strong experience completing mental health assessments of patients in crisis, and strong mental health assessment skills both within hospitals, and also the community.
 
This position offers the opportunity to work as part of an effective team, providing quality care to clients through the use of clinical skills within the scope of integrated services. The role gives exposure to a rural and regional healthcare service, partnering with larger health networks including, to ensure the role is supportive and fosters career growth across a range of areas.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Social Worker or Mental Health Nurse with at least 3 years experience working in hospital settings
  • AASW eligibility or AHPRA Registration
  • Skills and experience working with children and adolescents within a clinical setting
  • Community mental health and case management experience
  • Ability to work within a fast paced setting in a multi-disciplinary team
  • National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
