Role Details
- Contract Length:
6 - 12 weeks with a strong possibility of extension (for continuous work).
- Start Dates:
Immediate and flexible start dates available! Secure roles in November, December, January, and February.
- Hours:
Part-Time or Full-Time
hours available (rosters to be negotiated).
- Location:
Opportunities available in various locations, with a focus on roles near the ACT (accommodation details below).
What We're Looking For (Essential Skills & Experience)
To ensure the highest standard of patient care and immediate integration into the team, applicants must demonstrate:
- Current AHPRA Registration
as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum 3 Years of Recent Experience
in an Australian Emergency Department (ED).
- Essential Certifications:
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS), Triage Competency, and Resuscitation
skills.
Agency Nurse Expectations & Required Skills
- Digital Health Record (DHR) Competency/EPIC:
- Confidence
navigating electronic documentation, medication charts, clinical notes, and secure messaging within a territory-wide Digital Health Record (DHR) system (familiarity with EPIC
is highly regarded).
- Confidence

- Advanced Resuscitation Skills:
- Recent (within the last 5 years) proficiency in adult and paediatric resuscitation protocols

- Up-to-date knowledge of pathways for ACS, stroke, sepsis, de-escalation, and trauma.
- Required:
Current ALS
and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)/ Paediatric Life Support (PLS)
certification.
- Desirable:
Neonatal advanced life support and ventilation skills.
- Recent (within the last 5 years) proficiency in adult and paediatric resuscitation protocols
is essential.
- Triage Mastery:
- Ability to apply the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS)
confidently and consistently.
- Critical understanding
of adult and paediatric triage categories and primary survey findings.
- Desirable:
Completion of the Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK).
- Ability to apply the Australasian Triage Scale (ATS)
confidently and consistently.
- Paediatric Emergency Skills:
- Proven experience in assessing and managing diverse paediatric presentations (trauma, mental health, special needs).
- Beneficial:
Familiarity with Broselow resuscitation tools
and paediatric medication dosing.
- Proven experience in assessing and managing diverse paediatric presentations (trauma, mental health, special needs).
What's On Offer (Your Remuneration & Benefits)
- Competitive Pay:
High Pay Rates
ranging between $75 - $80 per hour (AM shift)+ applicable shift penalties + Superannuation. (Rate is pending on experience).
- Travel Reimbursement:
Travel reimbursement is capped up to $660.00 (Inc GST)
per contract. ($330 paid at the start and $330 at the end of the contract).
- Accommodation:
Self-Sourced Accommodation:
Candidates are expected to source their own accommodation. Talent Quarter can assist with a weekly allowance of $650 (receipt and ABN required)
for candidates who do not reside within the ACT or within a 100km radius of the ACT.

Exposure to leading health services, advanced clinical systems, and complex case management to enhance your CV and clinical expertise.
