Locum Sonographer – Coastal Victoria

We are currently recruiting for a Locum Sonographer to join a welcoming regional health service in the beautiful coastal town of Portland, Victoria. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle by the ocean while working within a supportive and well-equipped medical imaging team.

We are currently recruiting for a Locum Sonographer to join a welcoming regional health service in the beautiful coastal town of Portland, Victoria. This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle by the ocean while working within a supportive and well-equipped medical imaging team.
Start Date: 20 April 2026
Contract Length: 4–6 months (shorter contracts considered)

- Travel reimbursement up to $100 each way ($200 total) with receipts
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (80 hours per fortnight)
- No on-call requirements
- Hospital setting with a mix of inpatient and outpatient work
- Varied caseload including:
- General Ultrasound
- Vascular
- MSK
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Small Parts
- 30–60 minute scan times with scheduled breaks
- Work alongside two experienced Sonographers in a collaborative team
- Radiologists onsite during business hours
- 3 ultrasound rooms
- 2 × Philips EPIQ Elite
- 1 × Philips Elite
- RIS/PACS systems in place
- Postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound (DMU or Graduate Diploma)
- Current ASAR registration
- Competency across a broad range of ultrasound modalities
- Strong communication, organisation, and professional skills
