Maintenance Officer – 4-week contract, asap start
We're seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Officer to help maintain a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents in the Maylands, Perth.
Working closely with the Home Manager, you'll be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks, equipment repairs and property upkeep, ensuring the home remains well-presented and compliant with safety standards.

About You
As the Maintenance Officer, you will have an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, a recent National Police Check and full Australian working rights. It would be highly desirable to have Maintenance Officer experience within an aged care or healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance which will include painting, patching, minor carpentry, plumbing and repairs
- Maintain resident equipment, including beds, wheelchairs and mobility aids
- Support fire safety, building compliance and accreditation requirements
- Maintain maintenance records, workshops and plant areas
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the home
About You
- Experience in general building maintenance
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Safety-focused with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with older people
