Mental Health Call Centre Triage Clinicians (24/7 Service) Location:  Sydney CBD / Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time / Locum

About the Role We are seeking a number of experienced and compassionate Mental Health Triage Call Handlers to join a new program. In this critical frontline role, you will provide timely, high-quality mental health triage, risk assessment, and crisis intervention via telephone.

You will be responsible for delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care while supporting individuals in distress, This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, effective pathways to care and support across the mental health system.

Both part-time (minimum 22.5 hours per week) and full-time (37.5 hours per week) roles, with a range of day, evening and weekend shifts to suit your availability.

What we need from you:
  • Minimum 3 years full time equivalent experience in an acute mental health setting and /or high acuity mental health setting
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Mental Health Social Work, Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy
  • Current professional registration with the relevant governing body, AHPRA for registered health practitioners, AASW membership with Accredited Mental Health Social Worker status (AMHSW)m and for Registered Nurses, AHPRA registration and credentialed by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check
  • Current National Police Check
  • Ability to undertake clinical risk assessments, adhere to escalation protocols and referral protocols.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated and reliable with the ability to follow administration and reporting procedures with accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication with clients and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary health professionals
  • Ability to work across different platforms to deliver services
