Occupational Therapist – Community
Macarthur Region, NSW | Flexible work | Supportive MDT

Why you’ll enjoy working here

If you’re an Occupational Therapist who wants to do  meaningful, person-centred work  and still have a life outside of work, this role offers the balance, support and flexibility that makes community practice sustainable.

You’ll join a  welcoming, multidisciplinary team  that values quality care over rushing, supports your clinical development, and gives you the autonomy to work confidently while knowing help is always there when you need it.

Whether your interest is  paediatrics, adults, or a mixed caseload, this role can be shaped around what you enjoy most and where you want your career to go.

What you’ll get

  • Flexible full-time or part-time options  to suit your life
  • varied, meaningful caseload  across children and adults
  • Strong  clinical supervision, mentoring and peer support
  • A collaborative  multidisciplinary team  (OTs and allied health colleagues)
  • Time and encouragement for  professional development and reflective practice
  • The chance to build  long-term relationships  with clients and families
  • A workplace that genuinely values  work-life balance, inclusion and wellbeing

The impact you’ll make

In this role, you’ll support NDIS participants to live more independently and confidently by:
  • Completing  functional assessments  and delivering goal-focused OT interventions
  • Supporting children and adults to improve participation in daily life
  • Recommending  assistive technology, home modifications and environmental supports
  • Designing and delivering  individual and group programs
  • Working closely with families, carers, support coordinators and the wider MDT
  • Preparing clear, purposeful  NDIS reports and progress documentation
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive and community-focused service

Who this role is ideal for

This role would suit you if you:
  • Enjoy  community-based, person-centred practice
  • Are interested in  paediatric, adult or mixed NDIS caseloads
  • Value autonomy, but also want  supportive leadership and teamwork
  • Care about delivering quality outcomes, not just hitting numbers
  • Want to keep learning, growing and developing as a clinician

What you’ll bring

  • A recognised  Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Current  AHPRA registration
  • Interest or experience in  NDIS and community practice
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning and documentation skills
  • Ability to build genuine rapport with clients and families
  • Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
(If you’re newer to community or NDIS work, support and supervision are available.)

Our values (what this means for you)

We’re a values-driven organisation that believes great care starts with supported clinicians:
  • Integrity  – You’ll be trusted and supported to do the right thing
  • Respect  – Your experience, voice and ideas matter
  • Compassion  – For clients and for each other
  • Excellence  – Ongoing learning and development is encouraged
  • Equality  – Inclusive care and an inclusive workplace
