Occupational Therapist – Community & Clinic

Flexible caseload | Supportive MDT | Real career development

Why you’ll love this role

If you’re an Occupational Therapist who wants to do meaningful work without burning out, this is a role where you’ll be supported, trusted, and genuinely valued.

You’ll join a warm, multidisciplinary team that prioritises quality care over rushing, gives you the autonomy to work confidently, and backs you with strong clinical leadership when you need it.

Whether you enjoy paediatrics, adult rehab, or a mixed caseload, this role can be shaped around your strengths and interests.

What you’ll get

  • Flexible, varied caseloads across children and adults
  • Strong clinical support from experienced OTs and allied health leaders
  • A collaborative multidisciplinary team(OTs, allied health clinicians, support staff)
  • Time and encouragement for professional development and reflective practice
  • The ability to work independently, but never in isolation
  • Opportunities to deliver therapy in homes, schools, community settings, clinics and via telehealth
  • A values-led workplace that genuinely prioritises compassion, respect and inclusion

The work you’ll be doing

You’ll support children and adults to build independence, confidence and participation in daily life by:
  • Completing functional assessments and developing practical, goal-focused interventions
  • Supporting clients with self-care, emotional regulation, sensory processing, and motor development
  • Delivering adult rehabilitation, including neurological, cognitive and upper limb therapy
  • Conducting home and environmental assessments and recommending adaptive equipment
  • Working closely with families, carers, support coordinators and the wider MDT
  • Writing clear, purposeful NDIS reports and goal plans
  • Using telehealth where appropriate to improve access and flexibility

Who this role suits

This role would suit you if you:
  • Enjoy working with people across the lifespan
  • Value client-centred, evidence-based practice
  • Like having autonomy but also want clinical guidance and teamwork
  • Want to grow your skills without being micromanaged
  • Care deeply about doing good work, not just hitting numbers

What you’ll bring

  • A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Confidence working across paediatric and/or adult caseloads
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • A thoughtful, compassionate approach to client care

(Community experience is welcome, but support is available for clinicians building confidence in this space.)

Our values (and what they mean for you)

We live our values every day:
  • Integrity – You’ll be trusted and supported to do the right thing
  • Respect – Your voice, experience and perspective matter
  • Compassion – For clients and for each other
  • Excellence – We support learning, growth and reflection
  • Equality – Inclusive care and an inclusive workplace

We’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and sustainable workforce where clinicians feel safe, supported and proud of the work they do.

If you’re looking for a role where you can grow, be supported, and make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
