About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a Core or Proficient Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a growing allied health and therapy services team.
In this role, you will provide Positive Behaviour Support services to NDIS participants, delivering person-centred and evidence-based interventions aimed at improving quality of life and reducing behaviours of concern.
This position offers flexibility, autonomy, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review individualised Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Conduct behavioural assessments and identify appropriate interventions
  • Deliver evidence-informed strategies to improve participant outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, support staff, and external stakeholders
  • Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
  • Maintain compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements
  • Provide education and guidance regarding Positive Behaviour Support strategies
  • Support participants with complex behaviours, trauma backgrounds, intellectual disabilities, mental health concerns, and communication difficulties
  • Maintain accurate documentation, risk assessments, and progress reports
Essential Criteria
  • Experience working within the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
  • Experience developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Strong understanding of restrictive practice reduction and safeguarding requirements
  • Experience supporting participants with complex support needs and/or trauma presentations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Commitment to person-centred and culturally safe practice
Requirements
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to travel across community-based locations as required
