At Talent Quarter, we’re seeking an experienced Psychologist to join a growing service supporting children and families across Melbourne’s northern and western suburbs. This is a flexible opportunity for a psychologist passionate about working with children and making a meaningful difference in their lives.
About the opportunity
You’ll take over an established caseload, with additional referrals expected as the service continues to grow. The role initially requires approximately one day per week, with the opportunity to expand your caseload over time.
You’ll deliver psychological assessments and therapy sessions for children across a range of settings, including homes, schools and community environments. Telehealth is also available where appropriate.

About the opportunity
You’ll take over an established caseload, with additional referrals expected as the service continues to grow. The role initially requires approximately one day per week, with the opportunity to expand your caseload over time.
You’ll deliver psychological assessments and therapy sessions for children across a range of settings, including homes, schools and community environments. Telehealth is also available where appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and initial consultations.
- Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions and therapy sessions.
- Support children experiencing emotional, behavioural, developmental or psychological challenges, including anxiety, autism, ADHD and trauma-related concerns. Developing individualised treatment goals and intervention plans.
- Providing practical strategies and guidance to families and carers.
- Preparing clinical notes, assessment reports and relevant documentation.
- Collaborating with families and other professionals to support positive outcomes.
- General AHPRA registration
- Experience working with children; paediatric experience is highly regarded.
- Experience in psychological assessments and/or therapeutic interventions.
- Strong communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with families and other professionals.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Victorian Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check and First Aid/CPR certification, as required.
- Current ABN and appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- Two professional referees
- Work collaboratively with allied health and early intervention professionals.

- Receive travel reimbursement under agreed arrangements.
