SENIOR CAMHS CLINICIAN – REGIONAL WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Salary: From $85.00 per hour + Superannuation + Living Away From Home Allowance assistance
Location: Regional Western Australia
Contract: Initial 12-week contract, with potential to extend
Accommodation & Travel: Provided

THE ROLE

We are seeking experienced Senior CAMHS Clinicians to join a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health services to children, adolescents and their families across regional Western Australia. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-level clinical assessment, triage and intervention to young people aged 0–17 years experiencing acute psychiatric distress, self-harm, suicidal ideation and other complex mental health concerns. You will play an important role in delivering timely, person-centred care and supporting positive outcomes for young people and their families. As a Senior CAMHS Clinician, you will:

  • Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, including clinical triage
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and evidence-based therapeutic support
  • Develop, implement and review individualised care plans
  • Coordinate referrals and care across community and health services
  • Work collaboratively with children, young people, families, schools and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide clinical consultation, advocacy and professional support
  • Contribute to service development, mental health education and community initiatives
  • Support early intervention and promote continuity of care across the region
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical outcomes
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • AHPRA registration or eligibility for AASW membership/registration
  • Advanced clinical experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, triage and crisis intervention
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 and community-based support services
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to work confidently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Full working rights in Australia
