Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Perioperative (Urology Focus) Private Hospital | Melbourne | Permanent Full-Time

This redevelopment supports the delivery of high-quality surgical services, particularly in Orthopaedics and Urology, while opening doors for nurses seeking professional growth in a modern perioperative environment.

Your Responsibilities As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and operational direction across perioperative services

  • Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative culture

  • Coordinate daily operations, ensuring efficient use of resources

  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits

  • Maintain strong professional relationships with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs)

  • Deliver hands-on patient care when required

What We’re Looking For
  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse

  • Working with Children Check

  • Demonstrated experience managing shifts or acting in-charge

  • Current or previous ANUM/CNS experience (desirable)

  • Post-graduate qualification in a relevant specialty (or working towards)

  • Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient safety standards

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
