Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Classification: YP3 – YP9
Salary:$42.41 – $52.20 per hour (excluding super)
Hours: Up to 80 per fortnight (includes an ADO every 4 weeks if working full-time)

We are seeking experienced and passionate Registered Nurses to join a dynamic Emergency Department team that sees over 50,000 patients annually. This is one of the busiest regional EDs in Victoria, operating 24/7 and staffed by a multidisciplinary team including emergency medicine specialists, critical care trained nurses, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-focused nursing care
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary ED team
  • Maintain professional standards in line with ANC, Code of Ethics, and Code of Professional Conduct
  • Provide health education to patients and carers
  • Participate in emergency department rotations, including resuscitation, triage, short stay, and fast track
  • Mentor and support junior nurses and students
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and infection control standards
About You

Essential:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional development
  • Full Autralian working rights
Desirable:
  • Recent Emergency Department experience
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Emergency or Critical Care (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Additional Requirements
  • Current and satisfactory National Police Record Check
  • Working with Children Check (for child-related roles)
  • Compliance with Bendigo Health’s Staff Immunisation Policy
