Mental Health Nurses – Child, Youth & Adult Programs
Location: West Gippsland Region
Employment: Full-time (7-day roster, including afternoon shifts)
Salary:Nurses will start at Grade 3 Yr 1 ($100,932 PA)

Join Our Team of Mental Health Nurses We’re looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses who are passionate about making a difference. This is your chance to work in a supportive, public mental health service with opportunities across two key programs:
  • 0–25 Years Program – Be part of an early-intervention team delivering therapeutic care and recovery-focused support for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Adult Mental Health Program (26+) – Provide assessments, crisis response, and longer-term care for adults living with complex mental health needs.
Both roles involve working in multidisciplinary teams, delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care in community and bed-based settings.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Conducting mental health assessments and delivering recovery-focused interventions
  • Providing crisis support, care planning, and risk management
  • Working closely with families, carers, and service partners
  • Participating in clinical reviews, documentation, and discharge planning
  • Contributing to team development and service improvement
About You We’d love to hear from you if you are:
  • A Registered Nurse (Division 1) with a post-graduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
  • Experienced (2+ years) working in mental health settings
  • Confident in applying trauma-informed care and recovery principles
  • A strong communicator and team player with solid documentation skills
  • Hold a current driver’s licence
Desirable:
  • Experience in child, youth, or adult services
  • Understanding of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act, family violence frameworks, or alcohol & other drug (AOD) support
