Registered Nurse – Neuro/Renal (Ward 4A)
Classification: YP3 – YP9
Salary:$42.41 – $52.20 per hour (excluding super)
Hours: Up to 80 per fortnight (includes an ADO every 4 weeks if working full-time)
Employment Type: Ongoing Full-Time or Part-Time
Mandatory: 2025 Flu Vaccination

About Ward 4A – Neuro/Renal
  • 28-bed specialist unit for General Medical, Renal, and Stroke patients
  • Consultant-led Acute Medical Teams manage admissions from the Emergency Department across Wards 4A and 5A
  • High-acuity environment with diverse caseloads and strong multidisciplinary support
  • Located in a modern facility within Bendigo’s new hospital campus
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Support colleagues through mentoring and preceptorship
  • Rotate through various clinical roles in line with skills and competence
  • Adhere to infection control, OH&S, and quality improvement standards
  • Full Australian working rights
About You
Essential:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Clinical knowledge and skills relevant to neuro, renal, or general medical nursing
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to professional development
Desirable:
  • Experience in acute medical or specialist renal/neuro care
  • Postgraduate qualifications or willingness to undertake further study
Additional Requirements
  • Current and satisfactory National Police Record Check
  • Compliance with Staff Immunisation Policy (including 2025 Flu Vaccination)
  • Adherence to Bendigo Health policies and the Victorian Government Code of Conduct
