About the Role Talent Quarter, in partnership with a major government hospital, is seeking Registered Nurses (Level 1) to join the Special Care Nursery (SCN) team in Canberra.

The Department of Neonatology provides the ACT and surrounding NSW with the only tertiary-level neonatal service, offering compassionate, cutting-edge care for neonates and their families.

Our service includes:

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

  • Special Care Nursery (SCN)

  • ACT NETS retrieval service

  • Newborn and Parent Support Service (NAPSS)

  • Newborn Growth and Development Clinic

With 36 funded beds and around 3,800 births annually, the unit supports 750–800 neonatal admissions each year in a technologically advanced, family-centred environment.

The NICU and SCN are proud to be family-integrated units, where collaboration, innovation, and excellence in care are central to everything we do. You will be supported by experienced Clinical Support and Clinical Development Nurses who are committed to your professional growth and success.
